Aromatherapy Skin Care Routine

Begin the day with an invigorating combination of citrus scented aromatherapy skin care items such as lemon, grapefruit, orange, or tangerine scented. The energizing citrus scents are eye opening and the scents will help the consumer feel refreshed at the start of each day.

Following cleansing moisturizing is important; washing, even aromatherapy skin care cleansers, will strip the skin of some natural moisturizers. Keeping the skin soft and quenched are pieces of the total skin care puzzle.

Many
aromatherapy skin care lotions will have almond oil, avocado extracts, or tea tree oils depending on skin types and needs. Avocado oils are super moisturizing for dry skin, almond oil is nourishing for normal skin, and tea tree oil acts as an astringent for acne prone skin.

Many beauty experts claim the secret weapon to young, healthy looking and feeling skin is sun screen or sun block. Aromatherapy skin care routines would be incomplete without a sun block. Natural scents and extracts such as aloe vera, carrot, and cucumber sunscreen gels and lotions can protect the skin from tanning and UV ray damage.

The aromatherapy skin care sunscreens should be at least 30 SPF and should feel light on the skin; greasy feeling sunscreen can clog pores and should be avoided. Sun protection is important to everyone and wearing sun block protects the skin from premature aging and hyper pigmentation.

Bed Time

Aromatherapy skin care routines wouldn't be complete without a bed time ritual. People can relive the stress of the day with a hot soak in lavender and rose scented bubbles and allow the water to sooth the tension of their day away while the scents allow the mind to be free of its daily stresses.

Following a relaxing bath pampering tired legs and feet with lotions infused with minty extracts can bring new life to tired feet while relaxing them with a gentle massage. For especially trying days a good foot scrub with aromatherapy skin care products can take a week away from hard working feet.

This can be followed with the nightly face routine, cleansing in the evening can be done with gentle Jasmine or lavender infused facial soaps to help prepare the mind for a restful nights sleep. Aromatherapy skin care nightly routines can take the day off the consumer's face while rejuvenating

The human nose is more sensitive to scents than many people think and can be greatly impacted by the use of aromatherapy skin care products. Allowing the scents to delight the nose and take the mind to another place can create a mini vacation with every step of their daily routine.
